Dear Family,

We are aware of the situation at Resurrection College Prep and we wanted to take the opportunity to allay any concerns that may stem from it.

As their website (https://www.reshs.org/about/news/news-details-page/~board/school-news-and-events/post/school-closing-march-10-11-2020states

  • “This morning, as school started, we received information that a member of our school community was in contact with a person who was diagnosed with COVID 19, commonly referred to as the Coronavirus. Out of an abundance of caution, while we await further information:
  • All students will be dismissed at 10:00 am today and school will be canceled tomorrow, March 11, 2020. This will give us time to perform a deep cleaning of our school. We have the necessary equipment to do so and such a process takes two days.
  • Students may arrange transportation to head home. If students are not able to leave at 10:00 am due to transportation challenges, we will keep them on site until a parent is able to retrieve them, but not beyond noon. Parents may come to the main office.
  • We will continue to use our website, www.reshs.org, to update you on the situation. Please contact our main office at 773.775.6616 Ext 110 with any questions or concerns. As always, we ask that you keep all those impacted by the virus in your prayers.”

Please know that the safety and wellbeing of our students, faculty, and staff is our main concern. At this point, Saint Patrick High School will continue to monitor the situation and respond as directed by the appropriate medical authorities. We will continue to follow our regularly scheduled school days. If the circumstances warrant a change, we will notify our families immediately.

We continue to pray for those affected by this virus and for the caregivers, doctors, and nurses who are caring for them, and especially for those who are without access to medical and community support.

Sincerely,

Jon Baffico
