BLACK HISTORY MONTH
February 1st is the first day of Black History Month! Shamrocks value diversity and inclusion and in doing so, Saint Patrick High School will celebrate by recognizing notable African-Americans achievements, and their central role in U.S. history. There will be a Shamrock student Art Gallery displayed throughout the school. There will also be student-written essays and poems on display for your viewing pleasure. If you are interested in participating by submitting your own art, essay, or poem please contact Coach Griffin ’92 at agriffin@stpatrick.org for more details. You will be encouraged to submit original work and YES, there will be prizes available! Show your Shamrock Pride and participate in Black History Month!

NHS TUTORING
One of the most important acts of service the members of the National Honor Society (NHS) provide to students is tutoring. Any student who would like to receive tutoring from an NHS member should email Mrs. Fiorante (lfiorante@stpatrick.org), Jay Laboe ’21 (1jlaboe@stpatrick.org), Ryan O’Donnell ’21 (1rodonnell@stpatrick.org), Patrick Lewis ’21 (1plewis@stpatrick.org) or Tommy Caravette ’21 (1tcaravette@stpatrick.org).

Please include your full name and email address. Once you complete the Google doc we send you, we will match you with the tutor to best help with your requests.

Faculty, counselors, and parents may also encourage students to utilize this service, but students should send the email to help speed up the process. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Fiorante at lfiorante@stpatrick.org

VENTRA CARDS
See Mr. Ryan after school in the Business Office to purchase your Ventra Card.

LASALLIAN YOUTH POLAR PLUNGE
Looking for an interesting way to help your community? The Polar Plunge is the perfect act of service. Despite COVID-19, the need to help the Special Olympics families is still there. Participate in the plunge on March 7, 2021 to help satisfy this need. Participants must raise $100 in order to participate, but we will host several fundraisers to help cover the cost.  Any questions, contact Jonas Dargis’22 at 2jdargis@stpatrick.org, Mason Kim’22 at 2mkim@stpatrick.org or Ms. Wood at cwood@stpatrick.org

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
Catholic Schools Week kicks off next wee and we will start the celebration on Tuesday with an All-School Liturgy! To highlight our spirit of community, we are also asking that students wear their grammar school gear on Tuesday and Wednesday with regular uniform on the bottom. Thursday and Friday’s dress theme will be announced next week. Be on the lookout at lunch for ways to get involved in this special week!
