Any questions please contact Mr. Reardon or Coach Habetler.

HOCKEY

The hockey team has started practicing with plans to play games in the spring. Practices are Thursday evenings at McFetridge Ice Rink. For more information, please contact Coach John Lynch at hockey@stpatrick.org.

SHAMROCK STRONG POSTCARD MURAL PROJECT
The Art Club invites the school community to participate in a Postcard Mural Project. While Covid has separated us physically, through art we connect our community creatively. On the postcard, please respond to what has “kept you going” or “inspired” you during this time. Express yourself with drawings, paintings, poetry, collage, photography, or journaling.  Order of operations: first, pick up a postcard or two in the Library Media Center. Second, get creative. Lastly, return your postcards to the library by Friday, December 11th.  Want to participate, but not in the school building? No problem! Please email your address to Mrs. Blatchley at cblatchley@stpatrick.org and you will receive a postcard in the mail. To ensure delivery, postcards must be returned in an envelope. Look for the curated Postcard Mural in 2021!

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
The Louie G. Food Pantry at St. Tarcissus has several weekly in-person service opportunities available after school or on weekends. Interested Shamrocks should contact Mrs. Moroko directly at 773.501.1492. This is a great opportunity to show the community that Shamrocks Care!

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE FOR SAINT CELESTINE CHURCH’S ALVERNIA FOOD PANTRY
Lasallian Youth will be collecting non-perishable food items during Lunch Periods on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the Saint Celestine Church’s Alvernia Food Pantry.   We ask each student to donate at least two non-perishable, non-expired goods (students may also donate a minimum of $2.00 in place of the items). Students who donate will be given a wristband that entitles them to a Dress Down Day on Wednesday, December 9 (Gold group) or Thursday, December 10 (Green group).  While we are requesting two items, our hope is to collect as many non-perishable food items as possible for this year’s Thanksgiving Food Drive.

CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE FOR ADVOCATE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
This year, our Christmas giving will be directed towards helping to bring the Christmas spirit to patients at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge. Due to restrictions on collecting, sorting, and delivering items, we will be collecting money to purchase items from their Amazon Wish List (Amazon gift cards will also be accepted).  We are challenging the Saint Patrick family to collect $850 for this collection. Mission money will be collected in A Period classes each Thursday and Friday.   If we hit the $850 goal, we will have a Dress Down Day after Christmas Break. The highest giving class (based on number of students in person) from all A Period classes will receive a pizza lunch on Tuesday, December 10 (Green group) and Wednesday, December 11 (Gold group).  We will accept donations from full-time Remote Learners and the community in the Main Office for the Thanksgiving Food Drive and Christmas Toy Drive during regular office hours (Monday – Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 P.M.).  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Perez or Ms. Wood.

SHAMROCK SHOP
The 2020 Shamrock Ugly Christmas sweater crew is finally here! The limited edition sweatshirt was made just for Saint Patrick High School. It’s been 2 years since we’ve had a new one so don’t wait too long before getting yours! Remember, make your appointment to shop in the store in the Main Office or see Mrs. Christman or Mrs. Christensen.
