Beginning in 2017-18, all new students enrolling at Saint Patrick High School will need to purchase an iPad directly from the school. Outside personal iPads will no longer be allowed to be used.
By purchasing the device through Saint Patrick, we will be able to install mobile device management tools on the iPads; this will allow us to control access to various apps and functions and to block the downloading of other apps that do not have an educational purpose. This will help both parents and the school in ensuring that the iPad is used to enhance our young men’s learning experience. Upon graduation, the mobile device management controls will be released and the graduate will be able to do what he wishes to do with the iPad.
Through Apple, Saint Patrick has secured a pricing option of $475.00 for the iPad with 128 GB of storage. The $475.00 will also include the cost of a case with a keyboard and the installation of the mobile device management software. The costs for apps, textbooks, and workbooks that Saint Patrick will order in bulk for the students will be added to the tuition account at the beginning of the year.
Since families purchase the device, repairs to the device are the families’ responsibility. Saint Patrick has partnered with OnCallers for repairs if needed. At this time, they offer Saint Patrick families a 20% discount for any repairs.
iPad orders must be made by Tuesday, May 1.
