Rick is a 1982 graduate of Saint Patrick High School.
He continued on to DePaul University and received his bachelors in Accounting in 1986.
His father, Herman, was the maintenance engineer at Saint Patrick from 1957-1989. His mother, Mary, was a cook for the Brothers and was a maintenance assistant from 1974-1991. He resides in Park Ridge and has been married to his wife, Laura, for 27 plus years. Wilkens has twin daughters, Elaina and Marisa.
He currently is a CPA, CVA Partner at DeMarco Sciaccotta Wilkens & Dunleavy, LLP. Rick has served on the Board of Directors and Finance Chair for Notre Dame High School for Girls from 1996-2007.
