Michael P. Bordes ’79

Mike is a 1979 graduate of Saint Patrick with more than 37 years of experience in the mechanical construction, services, controls, and facilities industry. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of EMCOR Building Services, a $9B Construction and Services Firm (EME, NYSE). Prior to joining EMCOR in 2005, Mike was general manger at United Technologies-Carrier Corporation, where he managed sales and operations for its commercial mechanical services business throughout Canada.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is active in the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) the Chicago Building Owners Association, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)-Chicago Chapter, and the Western Trades Association of Chicagoland Contractors.

Mike married Terri O’Shea, a St. Pat’s Cheerleader in 1983. They have two children, Kelly (Leahy) and Michael, and four grandsons. Mike is involved in several charities including Horizon for Youth and serves as a Board Member for Pat Mac’s Pack/Lurie Children’s. Mike and Terri reside in Arlington Heights and are active at St. Mary’s Parish Buffalo Grove as well as Holy Name Cathedral, Chicago.
