Daniel J. Pierce ’65

A 1965 graduate of Saint Patrick, Dan is a prominent attorney with his own law offices located in downtown Chicago. He holds a B.S. in Finance from DePaul University and his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University, College of Law.

He is Co-Founder of the DePaul Athletic Foundation and member of the DePaul University Athletic Hall of Fame.

Outside of his immediate law practice, Dan also has numerous business interests, which make him extremely well-known and connected within the larger Chicago business and social community.

He was awarded the Lasallian Award by the Christian Brothers in 1994 and is a distinguished charter member of the Shamrock Hall of Fame.

Dan also serves as Commissioner of the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness, and Chairman of the Chicago Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Committee.

During his 15 years of Board service as Vice-Chairman, Dan was a member of the Executive Committee, and his no-nonsense approach to decision making was a valuable contribution which he brought to that group as well as to the full Board. Dan was named Trustee Emeritus in November 2007.

In recognition of his outstanding character, personal integrity, and ethical practice of the law, Daniel J. Pierce was appointed to the Circuit Court of Illinois in January, 2008.
