The Shamrocks soccer team won its postseason opener on Tuesday, Oct. 18, defeating North Grand by a score of 3-0 over in a Ridgewood Regional semifinal.

Richie Adame ’20, Chris Modrzejewski ’18 and Luis Saucedo ’20 scored the goals for St. Pat’s – seeded third in its sectional –  while Jonathan Rodriguez and Richie Hernandez added assists.

The defensive unit of Thomas Krupa ’17, Erik Jachym ’17, Jonathan Rodriguez ’20 and goalkeeper Chris Troyke secured the shutout.

The Shamrocks will play No. 11 Prosser for a regional championship at 6 p.m. on Friday at Ridgewood. With a victory, St. Pat’s would take home its first regional title in soccer since 2008.
