Saint Patrick High School is pleased to announce the following Shamrocks have been named Students of the Month for October 2020.

Name: Cyrus Rios
Year: Freshman
Grade School: St. William
Reason for Nomination: As an all remote student, Cyrus is very engaged in his school work. He is sure to attend classes each day and consistently contacts his teachers if he has questions that are not addressed during the class period.

Second nomination: Cyrus is a diligent student who asks thoughtful questions and participates enthusiastically in class. He is a model student for remote learning, being punctual to class, and completing all assignments early, and to a high degree of success.

Name: Anton Kranicke
Year: Sophomore
Grade School: PFGA
Reason for Nomination: Anton is always prepared for class with his work completed and done well. He volunteers his ideas and has a great, personable demeanor. I appreciate the good rapport he has with his teachers and fellow students. He also gets bonus points for being a fan of The Watchmen!

Name: Anthony Torres
Year: Sophomore
Grade School: Lorca Elementary School
Reason for Nomination: Anthony transitioned to being fully remote early this year. He has adapted to being fully remote very well. He is always an active participant in class and takes responsibility for his understanding of the material. He is always willing to ask questions and works hard daily on assignments.

Name: Peter Summers
Year: Junior
Grade School: PFGA
Reason for Nomination: Peter has shown great participation in theology class this semester. He leads conversations, completes his homework on time, and is respectful.

Name: Joe Malo
Year: Senior
Grade School: St. Celestine
Reason for Nomination: Joe is a strong leader and a proactive Thespian President. His innovative thinking has made moving the theatre department online easy and fun! He is a great communicator, and his ability to coordinate all of the parts of The Kaleidoscope Project has made our first online performance an exciting experience for all involved.

Name: William McMillin
Year: Senior
Grade School: Edison Park
Reason for Nomination: William received the highest score among all five sections of Senior Social Justice.
