Varsity Wrestling won its 4th Regional Championship in 5 years and 6th in program history on Saturday. Nine Shamrocks took 1st place in their weight class and five finished in 2nd. All 14 Shamrocks will compete in the IHSA Sectionals on Friday and Saturday at Antioch High School for a chance to advance to the State Finals at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana February 14-16.

Below is a list of the wrestlers who competed at this weekend’s Regional and their finish.

Hector Soto ’21 (138 lbs) – 2nd Place

William Martinez ’19 (145 lbs) – 2nd Place

Vince Plowman ’21 (152 lbs) – 2nd Place

Alex Goworowski ’22 (160 lbs) – 2nd Place

Jimmy Clancy ’21 (170 lbs) – 1st Place

Aiden O’Malley ’20 (182 lbs) – 1st Place

Tom Liesz ’19 (195 lbs) – 2nd Place

Ron Krewer ’20 (220 lbs) – 1st Place
