The Cross Country team ran their best meet of the season on Saturday at the IHSA 2A Sectional. Although there were no state qualifiers this year, six of the seven runners ran their best races of the year.

The Shamrocks finished 9th overall. Sergio Mendieta ’21 led the way finishing 13th with a time of 16:54.2 (Season PR).

Coach Robert Iliff is very proud of this year’s team and the way they finished. “Every team wants to peak at the end of the season,” he said. “We ended our season in style by doing just that.”
