The Shamrocks competed in the IHSA Boys Bowling Sectional on Saturday and were one of six teams out of 16 to advance to the state finals. The team finished with a 5824 pin total and junior Brendan Day ’19 ended the day 7th overall.

“The three varsity bowlers – Mike Livingstone ’18Josh Baumstark ’20 and Day- continued their solid contributions toward the team’s success,” said Head Coach Pete Dougherty, who has lead the Shamrocks to the state finals in eight of the last 12 years. “This is a really diverse group of guys that absolutely play together as a team. It’s been an absolute pleasure to coach them and finish the season with a trip to state.”

Saint Patrick is the lone representative from the Chicago Catholic League (CCL), only Catholic high school in IL and only high school in the city of Chicago to qualify for state.

The team will compete in the IHSA Boys Bowling State Finals to be held at St. Clair Bowl in O’Fallon this weekend.
