Saint Patrick High School is mourning the death of Ronald G. Kapolnek ’76, a vital member of the Board of Trustees, who passed away on April 24.

Kapolnek joined the board in 2012 and served as treasurer and chairman of the finance committee. He also played an important role in the establishment of the Tuition Rate Guarantee program, which ensures that the cost of tuition for families will not rise throughout a student’s four years at the school.

“Ron loved life and had a great passion for helping others,” Saint Patrick President Dr. Joseph G. Schmidt said. “He was an awesome father, husband and role model for all of us. His work ethic in his business career and as a member of the board was unequaled. He will truly be missed, but his example will always be followed.”

Ron Kapolnek is survived by his wife, Jean, his four children – Kathryn, Eileen, Danielle and James ’11 – and his five grandchildren.

Kapolnek’s dedication to St. Pat’s continues after his passing. He and his family have asked that, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Saint Patrick High School “In Memory Of Ron Kapolnek.”
