In an effort to streamline its service efforts, Saint Patrick has introduced the Helper Helper app to its student body, administration, faculty and staff. The app, a “one-stop shop for service,” is designed to make it easier for students to sign up for service projects and administrators to track their efforts.

In addition, seniors, who are in the second year of Senior Service Projects, can log in projects they’ve developed for freshmen, sophomores and juniors to participate in. “The senior service projects have been a great addition to the existing requirements as it not only gives seniors a chance to show their faith in action, it allows them to take a leadership role and actively help in building camaraderie and community among their classmates,” said service coordinator, Scott Ellis.

Since August 1, Shamrocks have already performed 893 hours of service including a Freshman Day of Service for the Class of 2022 at two Feed My Starving Children locations.
