SAINT PATRICK HIGH SCHOOL BOARD OF TRUSTEES APPROVES NEW TURF FIELD ON CHICAGO’S NORTHWEST SIDE

March 31, 2022

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chicago, IL (March 31, 2022) – Saint Patrick High School, the premier all-male Catholic high school in Chicago, announced the Board of Trustees has approved the resurfacing of the existing turf field on the school’s Northwest side campus as part of a building enhancement plan.

“One of our Strategic Plan goals is to improve the student learning experience through targeted facility improvements,” President Dan Santucci ’02 said. “The new, high-quality turf field provides our current and incoming students an opportunity to compete at the highest level while allowing us to engage the community through athletic events and sponsorship opportunities.”

The resurfaced turf and fence covering will reflect the school’s new branding and provide an opportunity for local and alumni-owned businesses to support the school through sponsorship. Additionally, the school plans to utilize the field to host local grade schools and youth programs for athletic community events.

The turf field project is expected to begin next week. The building enhancement plan, which includes additional improvements and maintenance projects currently underway, is expected to be completed in time for the 2022-23 school year as Saint Patrick welcomes its largest incoming class in three years.

“The Board of Trustees is thrilled to announce approval for the new turf field and surrounding improvements to the campus at 5900 W. Belmont,” Board of Trustees Chairman Mick O’Rourke ’86 said. “We are committed to improving our facilities to accommodate our increasing student enrollment and are grateful for the generous alumni and benefactors who support our school and assist us in these efforts.”

Local businesses and alumni interested in learning more about sponsorship opportunities should contact Jeff Ardito ’87, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, at jardito@stpatrick.org.
