Dear Parents & Seniors,

We hope this email finds you staying safe and well. Based on guidance from local health officials, Saint Patrick High School has designated three mornings for seniors to retrieve items from their lockers.

In addition:

– Seniors will receive their original birth certificates and copies of their medical records. Students will need their medical records for college admissions so please store them in a secure place.

– Students who do not have any academic or financial obligations will also receive their caps and gowns.

– Students will have access to their physical education or athletic lockers to gather any of their personal belongings from those spaces. If there are any additional materials that teachers wish to distribute, those will be in the lobby for access.

To maintain social distancing, students will be assigned a time slot based on five-minute intervals.  Times will be assigned for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, June 9-11 between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm. Times have been assigned to ensure that students at their lockers are spaced out to provide adequate social distancing.

Students will enter the building through the main doors on Belmont Avenue and exit through the doors by the Belmont Avenue parking lot.

The assigned times are included in the email attachments below.

These days are for seniors only.  There will be separate days for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. That information will be sent in a separate communication.

Before coming to school for your appointment:

– Bring bags and backpacks with you to carry your belongings home.
– Assemble items to be returned: loaner Chromebooks, library books, athletic uniforms/gear, instruments, etc. Bins will be located in the lobby to leave items before going to the locker.
– All persons entering the building must wear a mask/face covering and must follow social distancing requirements.
– Only students may enter the building. Family members must remain in their car.

When you come to school for your assigned appointment time:

– Maintain social distancing and wear a mask/face covering when you arrive at school.
– Enter the school building through the main doors on Belmont Avenue.
– Check-in with the staff member in the lobby. If returning items, place them in the appropriate box before proceeding to your locker. If you have something to pick up in the locker room, you will be admitted through the locker room door in the gym before proceeding to your locker.
– Completely clean out your locker.
– Throw garbage in the garbage cans that will be placed throughout the hallways.
– Check-out through the door by the Belmont Avenue parking lot and exit the building.
– Please leave campus immediately after you have exited the building.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation in managing this process. As a note, the administration continues to explore alternatives for graduation based on the phase(s) we are in and in accordance with ISBE, the governor, IDPH, and local health agencies.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at jbaffico@stpatrick.org.

Sincerely,

Jon Baffico
