Class of 2021 Summer Orientation Program
This unique, one-week (Monday to Thursday, except for the week of July 4 which is from Tuesday to Friday) orientation program is required for all freshmen who will not be enrolled in the Summer Phoenix Program. This program has been taking place for over ten years and has proven invaluable for increasing a student’s opportunity for success, especially during the critical, first week of high school. The orientation will include the setting up of the iPad, study skills topics of listening, organization, note-taking, and test-taking, as well as administrative information on the handbook, schedules, network logins and ID’s, library media center procedures, and a special Shamrock Pride unit.
Please indicate your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices among the twelve (12) sessions offered. Saint Patrick High School will make every effort to honor your first choice. Sessions are limited to twenty (20) students and reservations are taken on a first-come-first-served basis. Please make sure to check the schedules for any additional summer programs or camps your son may wish to participate in so as to avoid any conflicts. A student is required to attend all four days of the Orientation Program.
Please note: If you are registering for the Summer Microsoft Office I course that is offered from Monday, June 13 to Friday, July 9, please register for sessions A, B, C, D, E or F, if you wish to pair the orientation and Microsoft Office classes during the same time period.
If you are registering for the Summer Microsoft Office I course that is offered from Tuesday, July 5 to Thursday, July 28, please register for sessions G, H, I, J, K, or L if you wish to pair the orientation and Microsoft Office classes during the same time period.
The registration fee for the Summer Orientation Program is $65.00 and is due Friday, May 6. Checks are to be made payable to Saint Patrick High School. Please include the payment with the reservation form. Questions can be directed to Mr. Christopher Perez, 773.282.8844, ext. 228. Confirmation will be mailed upon receipt of the reservation.
If you wish to pay by check or money order, the check or money order is to be made payable to Saint Patrick High School. Payments can also be made by cash or check during regular business hours – Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 p.m.
