Theatre Department Philosophy

The philosophy of the Saint Patrick High School Theatre program reflects a passionate commitment to train students according to the highest standards. The fulfillment of this purpose implies full attention to the discipline of theatre as well as to the creative experience in all phases of theatre activity-technical as well as artistic. It is also our goal to challenge our students to expand their thoughts, abilities and talents through the medium of theatre.

Study it in the classroom or perform it onstage, theatre at Saint Patrick High School will enrich your life!

Choose your Saint Patrick theatre experience. In addition to formal course work, broad and varied theatre opportunities are open to all Saint Patrick students.

  • Acting opportunities are abundant in two annual productions—a contemporary play in the fall and a Broadway musical in the spring.

  • Develop design and building skills through hands-on professional training in set construction, stage management, stage lighting, sound design, costumes, and properties.

  • As an active theatre student who demonstrates commitment and excellent in the theatre program, gain membership in the International Thespian Society, the world’s largest theatre honor society.

  • Experience live professional theatre through department sponsored theatre field trips and visiting professional touring companies.

Participate in the Saint Patrick High School Theatre Department and develop creativity, communication skills, leadership, teamwork, self-discovery, and experience a camaraderie that will last a lifetime.
