Circulating Non-Fiction Books

There are hundreds of books on artists and specific art movements in the St. Patrick Library.

 

How to access the Library Catalog:  Go to Explorer. Click on “favorites” and click on ”Library Catalog.” Use the “Power Search” option to search for specific information.

 

Example:   1. Spanish

                    2. Art           

 

This search will guide you to books on Spanish art and artists.

REF 703 ENC    The Encyclopedia of Visual Art   Volumes 1-10. 1983.

A resource on artists of the world and the movements they were part of. Volume 10 has the index, if you are looking for a specific artist, country, or movement.

 

REF 703 ENC   Encyclopedia of World Art  Volumes 1-15. 1968.

15 volumes on art and artists from various regions of the world.  

 

REF 709 LAR    Larousse Encyclopedia of Modern Art. 1981.

A chronological reference that covers art movements in four volumes.  Within each movement, you will find examples of artists from various countries.

 

REF 703 PIC     A Picture History of Art. 1979.

A brief history of Western art.
