Instructor Quickstart
This guide will help you get started with Turnitin.com
1. Go to www.turnitin.com
and click on the New User link at the top right hand corner.
2. Select “Instructor” from the dropdown menu.
3. Enter our Account ID: (See Librarian)
and join password: (See Librarian)
4. Enter your school email address.
5. Create your own password.
6. Choose a secret question.
7. Enter your first and last name.
8. Agree to all terms and conditions
9. Now choose start wizard to enter your classes.
10. Create a title for your class (something the students will recognize).
11. Take note of your class ID number, the students will need this in order to enroll.
12. Create a password for your students (something easy for them to remember).
13. Enter your first assignment.
(you can add other classes and new assignments through your new user account
anytime you login to the site.)
Also, choose
whether you would like students to view their Originality Reports or not.
You can have students submit their own papers or submit the papers yourself.
If your students are submitting their own papers, hand out Student User info sheet with the class ID and password (pick up this handout in the library). Students must all create their own profiles.
