Little Shop of Horrors

Saint Patrick Summer Theatre presents Little Shop of Horrors, a rock musical by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman, about a hapless florist shop worker named Seymour who spends his time doing menial tasks and dreaming of the shop assistant, Audrey. One day, just after an eclipse of the sun, Seymour discovers a strange plant. He buys it and names it Audrey II. While caring for Audrey II, Seymour discovers the plant’s rather that changes his fortunes drastically. The music is in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown. In addition to the original long-running 1982 off-Broadway production and subsequent Broadway production, the musical has been performed all over the world.
