The Chicago Tribune selected Saint Patrick senior linebacker Brandon Kreczmer for their All-State Football Team. Kreczmer, who was recognized as the East Suburban Catholic Conference’s Defensive Lineman of the Year, was named Special Mention All-State. Kreczmer is a two-time All-Conference honoree.

Kreczmer was the leader of the Saint Patrick defense. Despite the fact that opposing teams either double-teamed Kreczmer, or ran away from him, he led the Shamrocks in tackles (80), tackles for loss (23), and sacks (6.5). Kreczmer also served as a tight end in offensive goal-line formations and caught a touchdown pass in the season opener.
