The Saint Patrick High School cross-country team finished sixth in the East Suburban Catholic Conference Pre-Championship Meet held at Schiller Woods on September 27. Benet Academy placed first, and Marist, Marian Catholic, Carmel and Saint Viator finished ahead of Saint Patrick.

Sophomore Andy Urdiales and senior Joe Lill were the Shamrocks’ top runners. Urdiales finished in 22nd place with a time of 17:25, with Lill right behind him in 23rd place at 17:26. Steve Betancourt came in 28th with a time of 17:32. Juniors John Gurnig (17:52) and Matt Albert (18:03) rounded out the Shamrock scorers.
