The Saint Patrick High School cross-country team finished fifth in the Saint Patrick Invitational held at Schiller Woods on August 30. Fenwick placed first, and Mather, Northside Prep and Northridge Prep finished ahead of Saint Patrick.

Joe Lill was the Shamrocks’ top runner, finishing in eighth place with a time of 17:01. Bryan Garcia (17:59), John Gurnig (18:17), and Matt Albert (18:40) also scored for Saint Patrick. Sophomore Andy Urdiales won the Frosh-Soph race with a time of 17:42.

The Shamrocks then came in 14th at the Saint Charles East Invitational on September 3.
