The Saint Patrick High School General Program is designed for students who are
working below their grade level. The main thrust of the program is to help the student
improve in areas where he is weak so that he can be mainstreamed into the College
Prep Program if possible. For students requiring it, however, there is a four-year
sequence of courses in the program. Since it is important for college admission,
students considering college should strive for the College Prep Program.
On the Freshman level, General Program students are assigned
to a specific faculty group. A goal of the Program is to allow the teachers
as a unit to get to know their students well and, thus, to be able to
identify and work with student strengths and weaknesses.
Participation in a five-week summer program is a requirement
for final acceptance.
The Phoenix Program does not provide special education
resources. |
