The goals of the computer science curriculum are to provide an opportunity for students
to become familiar with a computer system, to use the computer effectively as a tool, and
to be aware of the impact the computer has had and will have on society.
To achieve
these goals, courses in applications and graphics are offered. All courses provide for
hands-on experience with the computer.
Since computers have now become an integral part of everyday life from supermarket
checkout counters to writing research papers to space exploration, the need for all
students to become "computer literate" is imperative. |
