November 14, 2005
The Saint Patrick High School Parent’s Club has come up with an event to bring generations of guys together. On Saturday, January 7, 2006 Saint Patrick will host their first “Father-Son Texas Hold ‘em Party” for students and their male relatives. Dads, grandfathers, uncles and older brothers are all welcome to come out to St. Pat’s and test their poker skills in an evening of card games, refreshments and prizes.
The doors will open at 6:00pm, and refreshments will be served. Poker lessons will be given from 6:30 to 7:00 for those new to Texas Hold ‘em, and the games will begin at 7:00 pm. A “consolation tournament” will be held for those who lose early in the evening, while as much as $2,400 in gift certificates will be handed out to the top 10 winners. The first place winner will receive a custom-made poker table valued at $500 and a gift certificate.
