Greg Josefowicz, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Borders Group Inc. and a 1970 graduate of Saint Patrick High School, visited Saint Patrick on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Josefowicz met with Saint Patrick President, Brother Konrad Diebold and Director of Institutional Advancement, Margie Mei before being taken on a tour of the school.

Josefowicz was named CEO of Borders in 1999, following a long career at Jewel-Osco. Josefowicz began his career at Jewel as a Saint Patrick student bagging groceries in 1968. He then worked his way up through marketing and operations positions before being named President in 1997. In 1999, the Illinois Retail Merchants Association named Josefowicz ‘Retailer of the Year'.

A graduate of Michigan State University, Josefowicz holds a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and serves on the school’s Management Advisory Board. He also is a member of the board of directors of PetsMart, a leading pet supply and services retailer, as well as the metal services company, Ryerson Tull.
