Three Shamrocks Selected for District Music Festival

David Esturain (vocal-tenor), Nick Theisinger (trumpet), and Jeffrey McManus (trumpet) have been chosen to represent Saint Patrick High School at the Illinois Music Educators Association District 1 Senior High Music Festival. Placement in the festival is determined through stringent auditions, and selection for membership in one of the performing organizations is a reflection of the high standards established for, and by, the students, directors and Saint Patrick High School.
The IMEA District 1 Senior High Festival will be held at Oak Park-River Forest High School on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 4:00pm. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. About 10,000 students will participate in similar events, to be held in nine geographic districts, throughout the state. Of those 10,000, only 1,250 senior high students will be chosen for membership in one of ten performing organizations at the Illinois “All-State” Music Conference in Peoria, January 26-29, 2005. In addition to performances by the All-State music ensembles, this annual conference also features over 125 “in-service” professional development workshops for music educators and a music industry trade show, demonstrating the latest in music education materials, instruments and technology. |
