Michael Morun Wins Portage Park Essay Contest

Saint Patrick sophomore Michael Morun took first place in the Annual Portage Park Women’s Club Essay Contest.
Morun’s first place finish headed up a strong showing by Saint Patrick sophomores: Eric Morris placed second, Robert Czupryna placed third, and Jimmy McKay earned Honorable Mention. All of the winners received certificates, and monetary awards.
The topic for this year’s contest was: Does the Boys Scouts of America have the right to exclude membership to atheists and those living alternate lifestyles, and does the American Civil Liberties Union have the right to support lawsuits against the Boy Scouts by using taxpayer money? |
