Six Shamrocks Selected to All-Catholic Band

Ninety catholic high school students from nineteen participating high schools throughout the area were selected to the 2005 Chicagoland All-Catholic High School Band, which performed at the VanderCook College of Music on Saturday January 15.
Saint Patrick High School was well represented by senior Joseph Badsing (Tenor Saxophone); juniors Jeff McManus (Trumpet), Walter Gaskew (Trombone) and Nick Theisinger (Trumpet); sophomore Kyle Barazowski (Percussion); and freshman Andres Sanchez (Clarinet). Directed by nationally recognized music educator, Dr. Charles Menghini, the band performed a concert of five selections after a day of rehearsals. Participants were selected by audition amongst hundreds of high school musicians from as far as Kenosha, Wisconsin and Champaign, Illinois. |
