Saint Patrick hands out Fine Arts Awards

Saint Patrick High School honored the students in their Fine Arts Programs with a program in the Stahl Family Theatre on May 22, 2008. Students in the Band, Percussion, Choral, and Theatre Programs were recognized for their efforts during the 2007-08 school year..

Music Awards were presented to the following students: Merit Award for Music - Austin O'Brien, Louis Armstrong Jazz Award - John Catalano, Honors Jazz Band Outstanding Musician - Armaan Yazdani, Jazz Band Outstanding Musician - Domenic Montanaro, First-Year Band Outstanding Musician - Andrew Ellison, Concert Band Outstanding Musician - Ed Gaskew, National School Choral Award: - Matt Olker.
The following students were recognized for Outstanding Musicianship with the percussion program: Nathan Gentile, Pat Lee, Juan Perez, Alex Santiago, Danny Zumba, Danny White, Joey Calvaresi, Angel Ortiz. Spirit Awards for Band went to: Helen Alejandro, Scott Bedtke, Joe Calvaresi, Santino Carbonaro, Mike Drozd, Dan Dziubinski, Jesse Flores, Shantel McNeal, Christopher Mojek, Anthony Morelli, John O'Brien, Patrick O'Hara, Luis Paneque, Tom Passas, Michael Piechota, Tim Puczkowskyj, Sam Rizzo, Alex Rodriguez, Markeise Russell, Andres Sanchez, Joe Scaletta, Matt Strelzyk, Ed Stypka, and Piotr Szczepanski. Awards for Outstanding Spirit within the Percussion Program were presented to: Kyle McCoskey, Luis Ortiz, Tom Passas, Mark Calcagno, Armani DeJesus, Aldynne Glanton, Frank Wasielewski, Jack Fagan, Alex Rodriguez.

The Theatre Department presented awards for various achievements as well. For Acting Achievement: Dominic Clemente, Jr., Austin O'Brien, and T.J. Nicol. For Technical Achievement: Joe Brandstatter, Jonathan Erickson, and Darek Jakubowski. For Stage Crew: Joe Brandstatter, Matt Burmeister, Dominic Clemente Jr., Jonathan Erickson, Darek Jakubowski, and Alex Zalewski.
