The Quinn-Nelson Scholarship Program is named in honor of longtime English teachers Paul J. Quinn and Jack Nelson. James Turano, a 1982 graduate of Saint Patrick, is the benefactor of the program, which awards two $500 prizes each year. Turano began the program in 1999 in order to pay tribute to Quinn and Nelson, who were both instrumental in his education at Saint Patrick.
