Saint Patrick Blood Drive Earns $4,000 Scholarship
November 9, 2006

Saint Patrick High School recently won a $4,000 scholarship from Lifesource, Chicagoland’s Blood Center. The Shamrocks earned the award by collecting more blood at their two 2005-06 blood drives than any other Chicagoland school, within their division. Lifesource separated Chicagoland high schools into six divisions based on the size of the senior class. This marks the third consecutive year that Saint Patrick has earned an award from Lifesource. The money from this year’s award will be used to provide tuition assistance for students at Saint Patrick that are in need of financial aid.

The Shamrocks begin their quest to finish on top for a fourth consecutive year with their first blood drive of the 2006-07 school year, which will be held on Wednesday, November 15. Blood will be collected from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm in the auxiliary gym at Saint Patrick. All are welcome to donate. For more information, contact Ms. Stephanie Jensen at 773.282.8844 ext. 306.
