Saint Patrick Recieves Million Dollar Gift
October 27, 2006

Saint Patrick High School is happy to announce that the school has received a one million dollar gift from Mr. and Mrs. Lowell I. Stahl. Saint Patrick President, Brother Konrad Diebold, FSC, announced the gift at the Tenth Annual President’s Crystal Shamrock Award Celebration, honoring Francis Cardinal George O.M.I., on October 26, 2006.

This is the second gift of a million dollars that Mr. and Mrs. Stahl have given to Saint Patrick. Their first gift helped fund the school’s ambitious Vision 2000 Capital Campaign, for which Mr. Stahl served as General Chairman. In recognition of Stahl’s generosity, Saint Patrick named the Lowell I. Stahl Cultural Centre in his honor.

Mr. Stahl is a 1952 graduate of Saint Patrick Academy and Chairman Emeritus of the Saint Patrick Board of Trustees. Mr. Stahl held the position of Chairman of Labe Federal Bank in Chicago. Under his Chairmanship and inspirational leadership, Labe Bank registered incredible growth and success over the years, and that led to its lucrative sale in 2005. Mr. Stahl is now a partner in his new company, PFS Group, a real estate financing company.

Saint Patrick is Chicago’s oldest secondary school for young men, having provided 145 years of educational service to the youth of Chicago and surrounding communities.
