Saint Patrick Holds 17th Annual Shamrock Sweepstakes

Saint Patrick High School held its annual Shamrock Sweepstakes drawing on Friday, May 4. A total of 1962 tickets were sold at a cost of $100 each. $40,000 in cash prizes was awarded, with the $20,000 first prize going to J.C. Whitesell. A drawing was held among the students who sold tickets, with the prize being the option of a $7,600 cash prize or a free year’s tuition at Saint Patrick, which was won by Daniel Leja. The school raised $136,815 from this year’s Shamrock Sweepstakes with the money going to the school’s Annual Operating Fund.
In addition to the $20,000 grand prize, 21 other cash prizes were awarded. Eloy Burciaga won the $5,000 second prize. Donna Flores, Bob Hohenadel, Paul Bryk, Patty Kleinhubert, Gregory Patterson, Laura Paus, P.T. Brent, Grazyna Jachymiak, Jack Flynn, and Fr. Clement Davis each took home $1,000. John and Dale Lindberg, Dominic Boggia, Philip Elder, The Schmits (Len, Walter, John & Joe), Marliene Golden, Zofia Stanczuk, Joe Donovan, Daniel M. Printz each won $500. Early Bird prizes of $500 each went to Jerome Kadleck and Walter Kowalczyk. |
